Affordable Preventive Care Clinic

We periodically host low-cost clinics in Georgetown as a way to give back to our community.

At these clinics we offer vaccinations, heartworm testing, deworming, and the ability to purchase lower-cost flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

While we promote routine full comprehensive examinations and diagnostics, we do understand that it’s not always financially possible to do this.

Our hope in doing these clinics is to provide more access to basic preventive care.

Can I bring all of my pets to the clinic?

For patient safety, we have a 2 pet minimum per family. This is to ensure no one family is overwhelmed and distracted by having too many pets with them and can focus on their pets.

If you have more pets you would like to bring to the clinic, you may bring them 2 at a time to our next clinic.

Are there any eligibility requirements to be able to bring my pets?

Everyone is eligible to bring their pets in to the low cost preventive care clinic. There are no eligibility requirements. However, for pet safety, we do not allow pets that have ever had vaccination reactions to come to the clinic. Pets that have had vaccine reactions are still able to receive heartworm and fecal testing, and receive flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

Can I bring my puppy?

Puppies as young as 8 weeks of age are welcome. Any dog or puppy that is not fully vaccinated should NOT be allowed to walk on the ground due to the risk of infectious diseases. Please carry your pet in your arms or in a kennel.

Do I have to keep my pet in a kennel?

Your pet should always be either leashed and under your control, or secured in a kennel or carrier. Please do NOT carry small dogs without a leash. Please also do not allow your pet to roam the area without their leash or without their pet parent holding onto the leash. Your pet may be friendly, but not every other pet is friendly and we want to keep all pets safe!

What will the cost of my pet’s care be?

The cost varies depending on what preventive care your pet needs.

We will go over costs with you before proceeding and will take payment at that time.

We will post an online price sheet in the near future

What forms or payment do you accept?

We currently accept cash only. Because online payments take a portion of the costs, we only accept cash in order to maximize the discounts we can provide and maximize the amount we can donate to charity.
